Patch Traffic Tips For Memorial Day Travel

Memorial Day weekend is one of the bigger travel weekends of the year.

The Interstate 95 corridor between Washington D.C. and Philadelphia is one of the busiest stretches of highway in the United States.

That's on a normal day.

Throw in holiday travel, and you're looking at a real headache on our highways.

In fact, data from Foursquare indicated that the two local travel plazas—the Chesapeake House in Cecil County and the between Aberdeen and Riverside—are two to avoid this weekend. Those are two of 10 nationwide. Add in the Delaware Welcome Center Travel Plaza in Newark, and the Harford County portion of Interstate 95 is right smack in commuter craziness.

Are you stuck in traffic? Consider stopping off and visiting a restaurant, business or attraction in Aberdeen or Havre de Grace.
