Holiday Events Will Light Up Downtown HdG

Havre de Grace's Christmas activities will begin this week.

All it takes is a drive down Washington Street to know that the Christmas season is alive and well in Havre de Grace.

Volunteers installed Santa's workshop and placed decorations on light posts in the city's historic downtown district over Thanksgiving weekend in anticipation of a busy holiday season.

weather permitting, the third anual 'one boat, lighted sailboat prade' will happen between the Amtrak Bridge and the Concord Point lighthouse about 6pm. The parade will end with 'the boat' anchoring off the lighthouse (as a photo op) until about 8pm.

What a charming Christmas "event". Other boaters have 'talked about' grouping together for a waterfront Christmas boating parade. Consider giving a yelp just prior to the 2012 holiday season and see if we can get some more boaters to join in the show. The city looks nice. Just wanted to say thank you to all the volunteers for the work they did in giving our inner city the Norman Rockwell Christmas look.
