UPDATED (Saturday 11:05 a.m.)—The Susquehanna River began flooding Havre de Grace and Port Deposit Thursday and crested Friday—hours earlier than it was believed to reach its max.
Initially expected to continue through the weekend, the flooding reached its climax Friday morning at 32.41 feet. That figure would place the flood as the of the Conowingo Dam.
The flood stage went from "major" to "moderate" overnight between Friday and Saturday. As of 10:30 a.m., the river's flood stage was at 27.68 feet—almost five feet below its maximum height.
