Arts by the Bay Gallery proudly welcomes Siham Osman. A truly unique modern artist, Siham is inspired by her Egyptian heritage. This is particularly evident in the ancient Egyptian motif used in her original creations of beaded appliqué tapestries. Siham received her bachelor's degree from the Higher Institute of Fine Arts in Cairo. She completed her Master's Degree from Kansas University. She completed her PHD with honors in Art Education in affiliation with Pennsylvania State University. She was Assistant Professor of Art Education at York College. Possessing extraordinary universal appeal, Siham Osman's work has been exhibited worldwide. As a member of the International and Regional Society for Education through Art, her work has been on display in Egypt, England and Hungary. Siham's tapestries have been shown in places as near as the Walters Art Gallery in Baltimore, Maryland and as far as Rotterdam, Holland, an exhibit attended by Queen Beatrix.
