Winter Weather Advisory in Effect for HdG

Snow is on the way, according to the National Weather Service.

With snow and wind in the forecast, Thursday and Friday will be blustery in Havre de Grace, according to the National Weather Service, which issued a winter weather advisory for the Baltimore-Washington area, including Harford County.

Effective from 6 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, the advisory stated that travel conditions overnight would be hazardous, with limited visibilities and snow-covered roads. 

Between three and five inches of snow may fall overnight in Havre de Grace, according to the forecast. There was a 50 percent chance of snow and rain after 2 p.m. with no accumulation until Thursday night. There was a 90 percent chance of snow in the evening hours, with snowfall expected to stop by 8 a.m. Friday.

The high was 37 degrees and the low was 15 in Havre de Grace on Thursday, with Friday's temperatures dipping to negative 4 degrees with wind chill, the National Weather Service reported.

Wind gusts of around 20 miles an hour were in the forecast for Thursday, increasing to up to 25 miles an hour Friday.
