The Havre de Grace version of a Polor Bear Plunge! Come help raise money for the Susquehanna Hose Company! All it takes is $35 In pledges to dunk. Dunkers get a free long sleeve tshirt and a free breakfast from Tidewater Grille. Registration begins at 8am at Tidewater Grille until 9:45am! Email Shcoduckdunk@yahoo.com for more info. Please pass the word around we will be selling Coffee & hot cider from Janas Java, Goll's Bakery donuts and hot chocolate at the dunk site for all spectators and Dunkers to keep warm! We will also have extra shirts and raffle tickets for a pair of Vincenti Canvasback decoys for sale! Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. All proceeds from these sales will benefit the Susquehanna Hose Company!!

More About Millard E. Tydings Memorial Park
While it sits on a peninsula, the eight-acre park overlooking the confluence of the Susquehanna River and the Chesapeake Bay is in many ways the center of Havre de Grace. Tydings Park hosts the Fourth of July Carnival, provides the perfect vantage point for the Independence Day fireworks or a simple summer picnic. Situated on a hilltop, the community's largest playground oversees the City Yacht Basin and the beginning of the Promenade — a 3/4-mile boardwalk that meanders along the shoreline. The park and marina area includes parking and public restrooms, as well as the Promenade Grille. The park area adjacent to the playground has a gazebo-style pavilion and a veterans memorial.
