Arts by the Bay Gallery announces Auralea Krieger as their featured artist for their Fall Exhibit.  

Opening reception will be held at the gallery on Friday November 9, 2012 - 7-9 PM.

Auralea specializes in - Collages, Jewelry, as well as being an Author of "Ophelia Under The Day Moon"

Auralea began her career as a freelance graphic designer, and has evolved into a mixed media artist! After graduating from The Maryland Institute College of Art, she pursued a career in visual communication. From her years as designer, she strengthened her visual storytelling, which is now the cornerstone of her fine art.

She simply "must" create and has so much fun incorporating fashion, femininity and her stories into a piece of art. Her art enables her to express how amazing it is to be a woman and share all the struggles as well as the privileges that they have. 

Her art is divided into two subjects. One being Ophelia and her friends from her book Ophelia Under The Day Moon. The other she calls Couture Collage which is inspired buy her love of fashion, but the deeper part of each piece is the story of the girl on the canvas. She is a part of us all, sometimes she is demure and unsure, and other times she is strong and confident. Everyday she faces a new challenge and always surprises herself on what she can achieve and how much room she has in her heart.
