Havre de Grace, a filly that made national headlines by defeating the males in the Woodward Stakes and finishing fourth against them in the Breeder's Cup Classic, became the third straight female to win the award. Havre de Grace is becoming a household name. The horse named after the city and its former thoroughbred track is the favorite in Saturday's Breeder's Cup Classic. The ESPN broadcast begins at 6:15 p.m. Saturday. The race can also be viewed via an application for iPhones and iPads. The Classic is a 1 1/4-mile Grade 1 race with a $5 million purse.
