Just when you thought that "HdG" sticker on your bumper was looking lonely, here comes a Havre de Grace license plate.

City officials and one local businessman have been working on a license plate to commemorate the bicentennial of the War of 1812 in Havre de Grace. The image was unveiled last Monday and provided to Patch on Friday by City Council President Bill Martin.

According to Explore Harford, the Havre de Grace tourism office plans to have the plates on hand within a month available at $35 or $40.

The owners of at least 25 registered vehicles will have to reserve a Havre de Grace license plate before the Motor Vehicle Administration finalizes the plate.

The logo was designed by Bill Watson, owner of Elementary Design By Watson and chairman of the city's tourism advisory board.
