Sam's Deli has the best sandwiches hands down! The freshest soft rolls and deli meats. Their Italian sub is the best one I have ever had anywhere in the country. A true gem of a place, not just in Have de Grace but anywhere in the country.

I agree with Stan. Sam's Deli can't beat. Sam doesn't cut corners and skimp when it comes to freshness and quality. Plus Sam and his wife are two of the nicest folks you'd ever want to meet.

Sam's has great sandwiches. Everything is fresh. From the rolls to the sliced hot peppers on a Italian. They only accept cash although their bio says otherwise.

Sweet Devotion is a great choice along with Fast Eddie's pit beef. And don't forget Bruster's ice cream to top it all off.

AHHHHH Cianelli's!!!
The Best Oldie but Goodie...Viola and her daughter Camella Cianelli. In the lower level of her home...right accross from what is Sam's Deli. The best submarine bar none...although my Aunt Jennie DiMauro had the shop and lived in the house that is now Sam's. All Jennie had outside was a Hershey's Ice Cream sign. She made a pretty good sub too. Then it became Tuck's Deli...
This was all a lifetime ago...dam it's hell getting old!!!

Sweet Devotion's Villa Ciabatta sandwich is so delicious! Olive tapinade, prosciutto, mozarella & tomato with a little salad on the side. My daughter & I both enjoy this sandwich, then we split a bananas foster crepe for dessert. Mmmmm!

The promenade Grille has the best club sandwich in town and who can argue with the view!

I knew that if the discussion was concerning the best sandwiches, it was inevitable that Cianelli's was going to come up. They've been gone for at least 30 years (I'm sure it's been longer) and people still talk about their delicious subs. It seems that Cianelli's subs are the gold standard against which all other sandwiches are judged..........that is if your a Havre de Gracian.!

I was one of those people in the 1960's . Mrs. Cianelli on Ostego and Pearl made the best Italian subs. I have been to Sam's in 1999 and again in 2008 while visiting. (Born in HdeG but live in Oregon). They are very close to a Cianelli's experience.

folks would come from out of town to get a Cianelli's sub. they would be lined up waiting for the shop to open.

Cianelli's was it! Even though they have been gone for so many years if you added them to the lists they would win!! Sams has my vote.

I enjoy the sandwiches at the HdG Ritz, but if you are in a hurry, the EZ Quick has great sandwiches.

Oh my gosh... everyone knows I don't have a favorite restaurant - I have a favorite at EVERY restaurant. But I have to say... best sandwiches just have to be the wonderful overstuffed sandwiches at Havre de Grace Ritz Gourmet Cafe. So many choices!

Pat's has beautiful crab cake sandwiches! They are great portions and the price is very good for the size you get. It's my favorite place to get a crab cake because they pack it with lump crab meat and no filler! DELICIOUS!!!!!
