Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Where's The Best Place To Celebrate St. Patrick's Day?

St. Patrick's Day is Saturday. Where would you go?

You have helped determine the best spot for breakfast and working out in the Havre de Grace area.

Now it's time to have little fun. Green fun.

Where do you prefer to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in Havre de Grace?

Here are some of our favorite places, but if we're leaving anyone off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday.

  • Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, positive comments below and in reviews on each of the businesses' Patch Places directory listings (you can reach them by clicking on the businesses above).
  • Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

If your business is listed here, learn how to claim your listing for free by reading this article.

We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

So tell us which is your favorite place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. And don't forget to tell us why in the comments below.

Next week: Best place to get your kid's hair cut.

The VFW has an awsome dinner, with Frank and Barb L. in the kitchen! Couldn't ask for better food or company!!! This place is standing room only on St. Patricks Day

Love everything about MacGregor's on St. Patrick's Day. No one makes better Irish Coffee than MacGregor's. They're like potato chips.....you can't stop with one.

I'm with Sara Jayne on this one (I voted for Coakley's though as the VFW wasn't on the poll yet) .... the Dinner at the VFW is great. Oh, the VFW Wing Night starts up again this wednesday from 5pm to 8pm.

This is a great question. One of the things I love the most about HDG is the excellent food options we have. I absolutely love Chipparelli’s, The food is amazing and well worth the price. Bill Batemans is a fun atmosphere with a family, hometown feel. Batemans has an excellent staff and great casual style food. But my vote has to go to my friends at MacGregors. The atmosphere combined with the awesome new renovations to the bar and dining room and the soon to be completed deck makes it a hands down favorite. Their specials and food quality is the best in Harford County and has been for over 25 years. MacGregors really goes all out on St Pattys day with the bag piper and live music. Its the place to be on St Patricks Day.

Love the "bagpiper",,,lol. his name is Andy, and after MacGregors, he is stopping in at the VFW as well. He also belongs to a Celtic Band, Faire Isle I believe, love his music, and he is a member of the Elliott James Band too!

I also noticed irregularities in the Macgregors vote tally and the sudden jumps. Wendel you hit the nail on the head. Im voting for Coakleys. I dont usually go in there, But they do a decent breakfast on Saint Patty's. I do agree the Gunniess stew should be on the menu!!!

REALLY! Irregularities are when a thousand...YES, over a THOUSAND votes are cast in a few hours. Mr. Welsh needs to rethink his system. It seems not just Cokely's, but anyone could vote themselves a winner when they're really not.

This voting problem was just brought to my attention. As Owner of MacGregor's, I have not nor do I condone any "Hanky Panky" when it comes to polls. When this pole was introduced, an e-mail was sent out to all our "friends" to vote for us...and we were doing very well. Apparently, after obvious suspicious "over voting" was taking place, a few employees of mine took it to heart and responded in kind. I apologize for this action.
I ask SEAN WELSH to negate the poll and call it a draw for all restaurants involved. After all, we are here to support Havre de Grace, not casue dissention among our businesses. Thank you and feel free to call me personally.

Havre De Grace is the place to be for Mardis Gras n St Pattys!! 8 or 9 restaurants bars and clubs all within walking distance.Lots of different kinds of music, food and drinks specials and a $5 cab ride home! Why go anywhere else?
