Voting Absentee in the 2012 General Election
Deadlines for Marylanders voting absentee in the Nov. 6 election are approaching.

Approximately 890,000 sample ballot and information pamphlets will start going out to voters on Sept. 27 for the presidential general election Nov. 6. About half will be mailed initially, with the remainder sent to voters by sometime early next week.

Planning a trip that overlaps with Election Day?
Those who will be voting absentee in the Nov. 6 election have until the end of the month to request an application.
Registered voters must apply to vote absentee by Oct. 30.
- Call Harford County's Board of Elections office at 410-638-3565 if you are planning to vote absentee.
- Fill out the absentee application form online from the Maryland Board of Elections or in person at the Harford County Board of Elections office (133 Industry Ln.) in Forest Hill.
- Applications must be received by 8 p.m. on Oct. 30 if mailed/hand-delivered and 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 30 if faxed/emailed.
Once voters receive their absentee ballots, the Harford County Board of Elections will accept them through Nov. 16.
