Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Welcome to Havre de Grace Patch

A town rich in history now has a 24/7 news outlet

Hi, I'm Sean.

You might know me as a classmate. Or maybe as the baseball coach at the high school. Or maybe as a reporter whose stories you've seen before in The Aegis or The Examiner. Or you may not know me at all.

I hope to meet you all soon in my new role as editor of Havre de Grace Patch. The video right over there will give you a nice indication of what we're up to. Basically, Havre de Grace has become digitized. Join your fellow residents in posting events and announcements, photos and videos, and be sure to comment on our stories and send us whatever news tips you may have.

Havre de Grace is such a neat community. So much history. So many events.

Growing up in Havre de Grace, I never realized there was so much to do around here. How could I have known?

Now, everyone will be in the know. We'll have every angle of the city covered—with your help.

You'll probably see us on the sidelines of the football games, in the crowd at the City Council meeting, and roaming around town. See a laptop with the Patch logo on it? Please say "hi." I won't bite. I want to know if you like what we're doing. I really want to know if there's something you don't like.

Don't see me around town? E-mail me at sean.welsh@patch.com and find us on Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks for stopping by. Welcome to Havre de Grace Patch.

About this column: That seat could be in his car, at his desk, in a local cafe, or on a bench around the City. Editor Sean Welsh gives a behind-the-scenes view of Havre de Grace and Patch—the all-encompassing outlet that covers the City by the Bay.

This is really nice! We just moved here in April from delaware, this is a nice way to get to know the town we are now living in.
