Reptile Show, Beach Party, Maritime Museum Open House: HdG Weekend

There are plenty of events going on March 2 and 3 in greater Havre de Grace.

 

Here's what's happening around town this weekend. In addition, check out our weekend music lineup to find out who's playing where.

SATURDAY, MARCH 2

Maryland Reptile Show
When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
Where: Havre de Grace Community Center (100 Lagaret Lane)
Why Go: Snakes and other creatures will be on exhibit.
Cost: $7 for adults, $3 for children (2 to 6 years)

Women Build Clinic
When: 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday
Where: Lowe's (425 N. Maudlin Avenue) in North East
Why Go: Learn how to install interior siding in a workshop sponsored by Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna.
Cost: Free

Coakley's Beach Party
When: Saturday evening
Where: Coakley's Pub (406 Saint John Street)
Why Go: Two words—limbo contest
Cost: No cover

SUNDAY, MARCH 3

Homemade Soup Sale
Where: 21 Craigtown Road in Port Deposit
When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go: Chicken noodle, broccoli cheese and other soups will be available.
Cost: $6 per quart or $3.25 per pint

Maritime Museum Open House
Where: Havre de Grace Maritime Museum (100 Lafayette Street)
When: 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday
Why Go: Learn about new developments at the museum and enjoy complimentary refreshments.
Cost: Free 

ALL WEEKEND

Havre de Grace High School presents The King and I at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the high school (700 Congress Avenue). Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students.
