Shawn Forton took a few moments to chat with Patch after being recognized at a Friday ceremony in Havre de Grace.
The artist behind the acclaimed mural near Warren Street said he has hopes of doing more murals in the future.
Forton was presented proclamations from the city and Harford County, and he handed out nearly a dozen awards of his own, thanking some of those who helped make the project a reality.
The mural is located on Warren Street between Juniata and Adams streets.
