Harford County was under a tornado warning Friday evening.

 

A tornado warning was issued for Harford County until 7:30 p.m. Friday.

A thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was spotted seven miles southwest of Jarrettsville shortly before 7 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Baltimore.

The storm was moving northeast at 30 miles per hour.

The weather service recommends taking immediate shelter inside an interior room on the lowest floor available.

Listening to the scanner, it sounds like there was a tornado touch down on Salem Church Road and Cox Road. I really hope no one is hurt!
