The Family Weekend: Deals, Events & More
Patch aims to make life ridiculously easy for families.
My goal is to make life ridiculously easy for you and your neighbors.
So starting this week—and why not, with this weather—I'm going to start posting a series of things for families to check out around the area this weekend.
Bargains, events, cool spots to explore. And I'll throw in an extra for the mom and dad looking for a break.
I'm a dad. I get it.
So here's a few things I came up with for this weekend around our corner of Maryland:
3 EVENTS FOR THE FAMILY ...
1. Support the Warriors girls lacrosse team. The ladies are holding a car wash from noon until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Havre de Grace High School student parking lot.
KIND OF A BIG DEAL ...
The Baltimore Blast are playing in the MISL championship series this weekend. Game 1 is in Baltimore. Living Social is offering a deal into Friday morning for two tickets at just $23. Check out the Blast. It's a great environment for families.
ONE FREE SPOT TO CHECK OUT ...
The Joe K Trail. With the amazing weather we've had, why not get outside and enjoy it? Sure, there's probably house work to be done, but why not get outside and enjoy a walk in Havre de Grace, with some fresh air on the shore of the Susquehanna River?
GET A SITTER AND GO...
St. Patrick's Day. This one's a no-brainer, right? The only tough part is picking which spot to visit. Almost every bar and restaurant in the area is throwing some sort of party. Check in with your favorite and see what they've got going on. With the NCAA tournament on, you'll be sure to find some good deals and a fun atmosphere at any local spots.
TELL US: What are you getting into this weekend? Have something you think should be included? Leave a comment.
