I decided to visit St. George's Episcopal Church to photograph the tomb of John Clarke Monk—a.k.a. The Hanging Sailor of Perryman of "Weird Maryland" fame. After two separate visits, I was unable to find the infamous tomb, but realized the picturesque beauty of the historic church, and surrounding cemetery, was worth capturing.
