SOFTBALL: 10-Run Inning Powers Warriors Win

Havre de Grace toppled Patterson Mill, 12-4, on Monday.

 

The Warriors softball team scored 10 runs in the second inning to defeat Patterson Mill, 12-4, on Monday.

Megan Thompson threw five innings for the Warriors, striking out four and walking five. She allowed one hit before handing things over to Riley Arnold, who struck out one and allowed two hits to close out the win.

With the bat, Thompson was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Rebecca Ashman drove in three runs and scored another, going 3-for-4 including a double.

Kelsey McRoberts was 2-for-2, including a double, with two runs and an RBI.

Hailey Bethke drove in two runs and scored a run, singling once and reaching on an error.

Dana Teufer scored twice and drove in a run, reaching on a single and an error.

Arnold walked twice and scored one run.

Tori Caine doubled and scored. Allison Lewis singled and scored.

The Warriors host Edgewood Wednesday and Bel Air Thursday before closing a busy week at Elkton on Friday.
