After what citizens say has been a ten-year endeavor, work on the James R. Harris Stadium is months away from being finished.

According to Teri Kranefeld, spokeswoman for Harford County Public Schools, the project at Havre de Grace High School is scheduled to be complete by March 2013.

At that point, students will have a new field house, locker room, referee room, walkway, flagpole and covered concession stand, among other additions.

I believe that other parts of the sports complex needs updates. Baseball field would be great and the old Harris field should be updates for sports practice.

As nice as it is to see the completion of this project....I agree with Steve...How about getting plans in order for a baseball field that is as accessible to the fans and athletes as Harris field is....My son played baseball for HHS and i was always unable to attend his games due to work schedule and the distance to Stancill field I totally support any efforts that it takes to give the high school baseball/softball program the "HOME FIELD" advantage that football, soccer, and lacrosse has:)
