A crash on US Route 40 in Perryville occurred around the same time the area experienced a power outage.

Delmarva Power stated on its outage map that the cause of the power outage, which left nearly 400 people without power in Cecil County, was under investigation.

Areas affected included Perryville, Port Deposit and points north.

The outage was reported at 5:58 p.m. Monday with a restoration time between 9 and 11 p.m. projected.

A crash was reported at approximately 6 p.m. at Belvedere Road near Route 40, according to WXCY Traffic.

Maryland State Police told Patch at approximately 7:15 p.m. Monday that there was no information available about the crash.
