Robin Hood Road To Close For 45 Days

Traffic on Robin Hood Road will be closed from U.S. Route 40 to Titan Terrace.

A section of Robin Hood Road will be closed for repairs for approximately six weeks beginning Monday.

The stretch of Robin Hood Road between U.S. Route 40 and Titan Terrace will be shut down for road reconstruction work, to be managed by the Harford County Department of Public Works.

Harford County issued a statement Friday saying, "Motorists who normally travel this route should make other arrangements during the period of the road closure."

For up-to-the-minute traffic updates, utilize Patch's commute tab.

Chapel Road is an alternate route, leading motorists from U.S. Route 40 to Robin Hood Road via Ontario Street in Havre de Grace

Alternate routes include MD Route 22 and MD Route 155, which will transport motorists from U.S. Route 40 to MD Route 462 (Paradise Road), which leads to Robin Hood Road.

Can I say now that Chapel eastbound toward Havre de Grace is a POOR alternate route, because the roadwork shutting down Lewis Lane begins as well on Monday.

Brent: Good point. Personally—I'd probably use Route 22 to Paradise Road if necessary.

Richard don't miss your paintball I've heard there's another great place in Northeast to paintball they also do Party's it's right passed Pat's on West Lane of Rt. 40. or say 1/3 mile passed State Police Barricks. Never tried it but heard it's nice. Now back to the roads this is going to be a major problem with two main conecting roads closed at the same time, but they sure do need it. Drive safe everyone.

This roadwork is a pain in the butt...don`t know why they just don`t leave it alone...all they are doing is making it easier for more speeders to go flying up Robin Hood Rd.It was bad enough before, now it`s going to be worse.

Its clear they have close Lewis Lane.... The back up on Ontario/Chapel Road is insane. Hopefully they will put a police officer at the stop sign of Ohio and Ontario to direct traffic to cut down on accidents at that intersection and to improve the congestion.
And its clear that a permanent closing of Lewis lane - which has been proposed in the past would be a mistake. Ontario/Chapel can not handle the amount of traffic heading to Route 40.
