Restore Church Is Growing Again

Havre de Grace's new church is expanding services yet again.

Expanding to three services wasn't enough.

The congregation at Restore Church is requiring more.

Jess Bousa, lead pastor at Restore Church, told Patch that the church is adding a Saturday service and a second location. Bousa will begin delivering a Sunday morning sermon in Perryville this spring.

"My vision is to have 10 campuses in 10 years throughout Harford and Cecil counties," Bousa said, adding that an Abingdon campus is in the plans.

The Perryville campus will operate from Perryville High School beginning at 10:15 a.m. on Easter Sunday.

"What we discovered is 25 percent of our people are coming from Cecil County, through Perryville to Havre de Grace. A lot of our solid, faithful people are from Cecil County," Bousa said.

Saturday services will begin at 6 p.m. starting Feb. 4.

Bousa plans to video tape his Saturday sermon to be used for the 10:15 a.m. service in Havre de Grace. He'll deliver a sermon live for the 9 a.m. service in Havre de Grace, drive to Perryville, deliver a 10:15 a.m. service, and return to Havre de Grace in time for the 11:30 a.m. service.

Bousa is in the process of hiring a worship leader for Perryville. That individual would lead Saturday evening services and the Sunday service in Perryville, Bousa said.

The church opened Sept. 11, 2011 with two services. It expanded to three services on New Year's Day.

"We’re full. We’re running about 350 people for the last month," Bousa said, adding that at least one Sunday service has been standing room only each week.

Restore Church has found a growing base, thanks in part to its casual services, musical performances and implementation of technology and video.

"A lot of people are coming back to church after leaving for several reasons," Bousa said. "A lot of cool things are happening."

What an amazing faith community is forming at Restore Church! The people gathering are embracing one another, and sincerely accepting others right into the family. The environment is user friendly, very welcoming, and easy to understand. Through the Good Cause Foundation, Restore Church will serve the needs of many families and individuals through their very practical outreach events. Jesus message was more than proclamation, it was demonstration. Restore Church gets this and so do the people who are fast becoming a growing band for real followers of Jesus. How do we know? Jesus said, we'd know they by their love. It's unmistakable at Restore. If you haven't been there yet. You'll likely see them soon, their coming into the community to serve you. Why not, get in on the fun! Celebrate Jesus at Restore Church!

You don't have to be one to attend Amir. You can still enjoy it anyway. You ought to consider at least paying a visit. I think you'll discover you'll benefit from it regardless.

Living around the corner from the church, I see the Sunday crowds. I would like to work w/the outreach but am not sure how. This church is a very good neighbor--and welcome to the neighborhood! My only tiny quibble is that I've noticed they park in front of my neighbors' houses. The north end of Stokes street has only four houses (one of which is mine), I'd like the church to respect that part of the street and not park on the side w/houses. My 2 cents.

Tony & Vicky, I apologize for the parking issue. I am working on it and will let our parking attendants know about this. Hope to see you some Sunday. Please email me at jess@restorechurch.net the exact addresses you are talking about and I will buy cones to put in front of those houses. Again, we are sorry about the inconvenience. - Pastor Jess
