I knew Shawn since we were in elementary school. One memory that stood out to me was at one of my birthday parties when we were probably like 9 or 10, and Shawn broke the backboard on the basketball hoop on my driveway by dunking on it. We'd lowered it down for all of us to dunk on. Shawn broke it.

I hadn't seen him a lot since high school, but he never changed. He was always a positive, caring guy. The last I saw Shawn was in July of last year, following the Class of 2001's 10-year reunion. We caught up for a few minutes and he had his trademark smile on the entire time.

Wow, it has to be a very strong person to be able to look at these photos and not tear up!!!!! I knew Shawn from the bowling alley, I didn't know him real well but what I did know of him he was an awesome man!!! He bowled on the mens league while I bowled the Friday night womans late league. I must say that he always had a smile and was joking around somehow. I really remember hearing them announce Shawn Christy just bowled a 300, I heard that several times. My heart goes out to his family and many friends!! God will be with his 2 sons, cradle and love them. As I told you Sunday Travis, please call me if there is anything I can do for you or your family. Lots of Love and Hugs sent to the Christy family!
