Definitely Jana's Java. She did plenty of research into finding the right beans, proper roasting, and perfect perking. It's the only coffee in town worth buying.

I recently learned that Janas Java will be closing this Sunday. While I never had the opportunity to meet Jana I understand she is a lovely lady. It is sad to see any business in Havre de Grace close. Though I am associated with the other coffee shop in town, competition is a good thing and with this recent readers choice contest it is obvious Jana and crew served many people in the community with her product, personality, and atmosphere. We wish her the best in health and career. Sincerely, Shalonn Lawson

The above comment was left by the owner of Java by the Bay. What class!

I have patronized and enjoyed both coffee houses. Both were good for Havre de Grace. Any business that closes will be a loss for the City. Java by the Bay has just expanded to Sunday hours. Shalonn has some new menu items and is working to give the customers what they want when they need it.

Java by the Bay is still on North Washington Street Downtown to fulfill my caffeine needs.
