More Than 40,000 Without Power in Harford County

Half the BGE customers in Harford County experienced power outages.

Of the roughly 100,000 BGE customers in Harford County, approximately 55,000 had their power knocked out during Hurricane Sandy, the utility company said Monday night.

As of 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, approximately 45,000 Harford County residents were still without power.

BGE had restored service to 10,000 customers in Harford County.

See the current outage map from BGE. If you have an outage, call 877-778-2222 to report it.

BGE says DON'T use that number, but report outages at 877-778-2222. Also, it would be very useful if you could post which businesses are open --grocery stores, gas stations, hardware supplies, restaurants, etc... even if you had a place where readers could contribute to a list... Thanks!
