Mob The Merchant: Saturday at Java By The Bay
Havre de Grace Main Street continues a new initiative aimed at boosting small business.
A mob will be on the loose again this Saturday.
They'll be in search of coffee and early-morning goods, aiming to take Java By The Bay by storm.
Havre de Grace Main Street's "Mob The Merchant" initiative will continue Saturday at one of the city's most popular morning stops. The goal is for residents and visitors to flock to the locally-owned business between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday.
The initiative aims to boost business by driving a high volume of traffic in a short period of time.
Java By The Bay is located at 118 North Washington Street.
According to a flyer from Main Street, the organization "invites all residents and members to shop as a "mob" to support local merchants! The idea is to join together at a specified time and flood into a designated place of business."
The first "Mob The Merchant" event was held at Goll's Bakery on May 19.
To nominate a downtown business, contact Matt Kriegl with Havre de Grace Main Street at 410-939-1811.

I was part of the "mob" at Groll's last week. Does anyone know what the increased percentage of business was that day??
