Man Flown Out After Pulaski Highway Bike Accident

The accident happened in the early evening on Mother's Day.

A man was flown to Shock Trauma Sunday evening after an accident involving his motorcycle and a vehicle on eastbound Route 40, according to sources.

Dispatchers for the Maryland State Police and the Havre de Grace Police Department had no details shortly after the accident. Route 40 was closed, according to Patch readers stuck in traffic.

The initial call to the Susquehanna Hose Company came at 5:19 p.m. for a multi-vehicle accident in the 1800 block of Pulaski Highway, according to the company's text alerts.

According to sources, the man on the motorcycle sustained life-threatening injuries. Occupants of the other vehicle involved in the accident were taken to Bayview Medical Center, according to sources.
