Man Charged With Stealing Soda From McDonald's
The man also was charged with drug possession.
A Havre de Grace man allegedly stole soda from McDonald's on repeated occasions, and was found to be in possession of drugs when police arrested him Saturday.
Nigel Vanness Johnson, 18, of the 800 block of Garfield Road, was arrested and charged with theft and possession of drug paraphernalia during an incident at 11:28 p.m. on Aug. 4, Havre de Grace police said.
Johnson allegedly filled an empty cup with fountain drinks on Aug. 2, and ran from the store when asked how he planned to pay for the drink.
On Saturday, Johnson performed the same routine, but was detained by on-site security until officers arrived.

Crazy! My daughter and I were just at the McDonalds in Edgewood yesterday and saw a few guys take in empty cups. I guess it's time to put the soda machines back behind the counter.
