July 4th Accident; Board of Education Appointments

Bel Air celebrated Independence Day and welcomed home one of its own.

 

This week in Harford County there were scary moments in an otherwise smooth Independence Day celebration, while the Board of Education has been completed and the county aided in putting a controversial bill on the ballot for 2012.

1. Jaw of Life Rescue on Baltimore Pike

The Fourth of July turned scary for a Bel Air woman and her daughter, as they were involved in an accident at Bond Street and Baltimore Pike.

2. Bel Air Fourth of July Highlights

Patch was on the scene for everything Fourth of July that was happening in Bel Air last Monday.

3. Thornton, Browning to Complete Harford Board of Education

The appointments of two more members to the Harford County Board of Education means seven new members will be sworn in Monday.

4. Harford Residents Third in DREAM Act Petition Signatures

Harford County helped to send the DREAM Act to referendum next November, a bill that Gov. Martin O’Malley defended in an interview with Patch.

5. Bel Air Officers Cleared of Anti-Abortion Group Accusations

The charges against three Bel Air Police Department officers of violating constitutional rights have been dismissed, but charges against the Maryland State Police remain.
