Police: No Suspects in Museum Theft

Havre de Grace police said that two pieces were taken from an exhibit at the Maritime Museum.

Two items were stolen from an exhibit at the Maritime Museum in Havre de Grace this week, according to police.

The curator of the museum reported to police on Nov. 7 that a small brass snuff box and a cross pendant had been stolen, according to Julie Morgan, spokeswoman for the Havre de Grace Police Department.

Police said the theft occurred between Nov. 3 and Nov. 7.

There are no suspects, said Morgan.

The combined value of the two pieces was estimated to be $200, according to Morgan, who said the items were part of the “Culture on the Chesapeake” exhibit.
