Historic Havre de Grace, 5 Businesses Honored
Maryland Life Magazine recognized five Havre de Grace businesses and the city's historic downtown area.
A year after winning the Maryland Life Magazine award for the finest historic downtown, Havre de Grace's businesses are being individually recognized by the same publication.
Five Havre de Grace businesses—Laurrapin Grille, Bulle Rock, La Banque de Fleuve, Tidewater Marina and Vandiver Inn—as well as the city's historic downtown, were recognized as Free State's Finest winners via Maryland Life's readers poll.
“This announcement comes as we are ready to kick off our summer tourism season," Havre de Grace Manager of Marketing and Tourism Brigitte Peters said in a statement. "Main Street's First Fridays and Farmers Market starts in May with some great new ideas to enhance the visitor experience. The museums will be opening with great festivals to enjoy and celebrate our heritage. All reasons the readers of Maryland Life love Havre de Grace.“
Other Harford County business, Bel Air's Broom's Bloom Dairy and Northern Harford County's Fiore Winery, was also recognized.
Here's a breakdown of the local winners:
- Laurrapin » restaurant
- La Banque de Fleuve » place to be married
- Bulle Rock » golf
- Tidewater Marina » marina
- Vandiver Inn » bed & breakfast
- Havre de Grace » historic district
- Broom's Bloom » ice cream
- Fiore » wine
A celebration will be held for the local winners on April 19 at La Banque de Fleuve.
