The Havre de Grace Office of Tourism just released its lineup of events for the War of 1812 bicentennial weekend.
The May 3 to 5 weekend coincides with the 200-year anniversary of the British attack on Havre de Grace.
According to a flyer promoting three-day event, music and vignettes will be performed in the streets of Havre de Grace on May 3. In the Havre de Grace Main Street tradition, restaurants will offer specials that evening, since it's the first Friday of the month.
On Saturday, May 4, reenactors will recreate the British attack on Havre de Grace, arriving by barge near the Concord Point Lighthouse. The Columbia Orchestra will put on an evening concert, followed by fireworks.
On Sunday, May 5, ship tours and the Red Coat 5K will round out the weekend.
