Harford Community College athletic director Ken Krsolovic was named the best in his field at a national conference Wednesday.
Krsolovic was named the 2011-2012 Under Armour AD of the Year at the National Association of College Directors of Athletics Conference in Dallas, the school announced in a statement.
Krsolovic earned the honor for the southeast region in his fifth year at Harford Community College. He oversees 14 NJCAA Division I programs, including the men's and women's cross country teams, which were added this year.
The Fighting Owls led the Maryland JUCO and Region XX in academic honors this year, according to the statement. The Owls also won three conference and one region title, finishing second in the MD JUCO Presidents' Cup standings for the second straight year.
He also formed the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, which recognized 349 students with GPAs above 3.0 in the past three years. A record 125 were honored during the most recent school year.
Krsolovic has added positions to the athletic department to enhance its appeal and value to the community, including, the statement said, those positions in facilities, sports information, academic services, equipment, marketing and promotions.
He also serves as an assistant coach for the Owls baseball team, which won the region title this spring, capping the best three-season stretch in program history. In that span, the Owls won 155 games.
Krsolovic was previously the athletic director of Division III Lake Erie (OH) College. He spent four years there after 17 years at Division I St. Joseph's (PA) University, where he served in a variety of departments.
He is a graduate of the University of Toledo. Krsolovic and his wife, Lisa, have two children: Ronnie and Jenny.
