Havre de Grace Teachers Make Headlines for Ravens Fandom
Havre de Grace Middle and Meadowvale Elementary School teachers were recently featured for their support of the Baltimore Ravens.
Two Havre de Grace teachers are making headlines for their creative and far-reaching support for the Ravens.
Laura Buscemi, who teaches art at Havre de Grace Middle School, has been painting portraits of Ravens players on canvas. The players sign them, she auctions them off and donates the money to the school's art department for purchases like desks, according to ABC 2 News.
As of last week, Buscemi had raised approximately $1,200, when ABC 2 News first reported the story.
Jaime Hoback, who teaches third grade at Meadowvale Elementary School, is taking a trip away from the classroom this weekend. He will be traveling to New England for the AFC Championship for the second year in a row, The Record reports.
Hoback is a season ticket holder who went to Denver for the Broncos game last week and will be trying to stay warm in Foxborough, MA, at this weekend’s game, according to the article.
The Baltimore Ravens play the New England Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20, in Foxborough, MA.
How do you show Ravens pride? Tell us in the comments.
