A Havre de Grace man involved in a motorcycle accident on U.S. Route 40 in May has died.
Aaron Peterson, 45, died Friday—five days after his wedding anniversary, his wife, Anne, told Patch in an email.
"He was an amazing man and father and did a lot for this community," Anne Peterson said in the email to Patch.
Peterson was a member of Havre de Grace City Hall staff and a volunteer with the Susquehanna Hose Company dive team.
"He did so much for so many and touched so many lives," Anne Peterson said.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, followed by a reception at the family's home, according to an obituary on Zellman Funeral Home's website.
According to Explore Harford, the accident does not factor into the tally of fatal motorcycle accidents in Harford County. There have been 17 fatal motorcycle accidents in Harford County this year, according to the article.

Was an honor and a pleasure to know and work with Aaron, both as a city employee and in his fire service.

I thought Aaron was a fine man. I haven't seen that much of him lately, but I do remember him when he and Anne had just got married. I remember them both as being very happy and looking forward to building a life. I was shocked the hear about the accident, and even more so now. My heart goes out to Anne.
