Harford Sheriff: Suspect in Custody after Courthouse Escape
A 19-year-old Edgewood man ran from the courthouse in Bel Air, according to the sheriff.
The Harford County Sheriff's Office said it has a man in custody after he ran away from a hearing at the unit block of Courtland Street Wednesday morning.
Alton Cumbo Jr., 19, of Edgewood, was ordered to be incarcerated during a violation of probation hearing, according to a statement from the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Around 11:50 a.m., while in custody, Cumbo "abruptly ran from the courthouse," the statement said.
Cumbo was reportedly apprehended "a short distance away" and is being charged with escape, according to the sheriff's office.
