Harford Council: Recycling Review, Storm Funding, Traffic Task Force
See what's on Tuesday's agenda for the Harford County Council.
Harford County Council will hear an annual review of the community's recycling program, and listen to public comment on two proposed bills before Tuesday's meeting begins in Bel Air.
The meeting begins with a review of the Harford County Recycling Plan at 6:30 p.m. at the Council Chambers at 215 South Bond Street.
The public hearing will include bills pertaining to "local management board membership requirements" and appropriation of storm-related funds.
After the legislative session begins, council will hear a presentation from Sheriff Jesse Bane regarding a traffic safety task force.
Council will also consider a resolution and three bills slated for introduction:
- A resolution regarding transportation assistance grants
- A bill regarding a capital program
- A bill regarding airport zoning revisions
- A bill regarding credit and debit payments

Recycling pickup needs to occur twice per week and regular trash once. Also, they need to get the ability to recycle plastic shopping bags. This is standard in many other places.

I agree Bob! Our recycling is out of control by the end of a week.
