Girls Soccer: Warriors Win Second Straight

Havre de Grace heads into the weekend on an upswing after Thursday's win.

 

The girls soccer team at Havre de Grace won one game in four years.

The Warriors won two this week.

Havre de Grace used a three-goal first half to pull away from Joppatowne in a 4-0 win Thursday.

"The win saw every girl getting playing time," Warriors coach Randy Cypher said in an email to Patch.

Rachel Rossi scored three times for Havre de Grace.

Margaret Stump had a goal and an assist.

Lauren Herrington assisted on two goals and Carly Thompson helped on another.

Warriors goalkeeper Riley Arnold saved the only shot she was challenged with.

Havre de Grace defeated Perryville on Monday for its first win of the year.
