Expect Delays on Interstate 95 Northbound
A Wednesday afternoon accident may cause delays into the evening rush hour.
Northbound traffic on Interstate 95 remained shut down south of the Bel Air/Edgewood interchange Wednesday afternoon.
The interstate was closed to traffic shortly after 12:30 p.m. when two passenger vehicles and a tractor trailer collided in the area, according to Maryland State Police with the JFK Highway Barrack.
All lanes of I-95 northbound remained closed as of 4:25 p.m., according to state police.
In an email to Patch, one reader said one of three lanes was opened to traffic.
One person was flown to an area hospital for treatment. No additional details were available.
Alternate routes for northbound traffic include MD Route 7, U.S. Route 40 and U.S. Route 1.

Additionally, East Avenue behind Heritage Honda right off of exit 31b is also blocked due to a tractor trailer delivery of cars stuck and blocking the road. It has been stuck since 4:05 and it seems efforts to move the tractor trailer have failed.
