Downtown Businesses Reward Holiday Customers
Havre de Grace's businesses are holding a holiday giveaway to reward shoppers who patronize local stores.

Havre de Grace's local businesses are getting into the holiday spirit, setting aside some gifts for their favorite customers.
In a program created by the Winter Wonderland Committee and the Havre de Grace Chamber of Commerce, participating local businesses will give customers a ticket for every $10 spent. Those tickets will be entered in a drawing for prizes—an attempt by local businesses to warm up the cold-weather market in the downtown district.
A drawing will be held at 2:30 p.m., Dec. 17 at "Santaland," located at 120 N. Washington St. The following prizes will be given away:
- A girl's bike
- A boy's bike
- Pizza party for 10 kids at Frank's Pizza & Grill
- A $75 gift certificate from Tidewater Grille
- Two Kindle tablets
- A holiday bag and t-shirt from Stickdesign Embroidery
- A t-shirt and $20 gift certificate from Biller's Bikes
The following businesses are participating in the reward program:
Flicker Scents, Doodads, Courtyard Book Shop, Stickdesign Embroidery Shop, The Ritz, MacGregor's, Salon Marielle, Coakley's Pub, Vancherie's Union Avenue Cafe, Stephens and Stephens Clock, Lyon's Pharmacy, Pizzazz, Rampant Lion, Art Pantheon, Bahoukas Antique Mall and Beer MuZeum, Office Centre, Simply Grand Events, Simplicity Antiques, Le Banque de Fleuve, White Rabbet Gallery, Java by the Bay, Island Jack, The Art Rooms, Jana's Java, Washington Street Books, Maryland Estate Brokers, Blue Earth Leather, Bayside Antiques, Angel's Barber Shop, Joseph's Department Store, Distinctive Decor and Biller's Bikes.
The program began with November's First Friday celebration.

You know what I'd like to see or hear... Years ago the Downtown had Christmas music played you could hear it all through the town it was nice. Bring back the good ole days.
