Day Care Opens at Havre de Grace High School
The student-run day care opened Tuesday at Havre de Grace High School.
Two new classmates at Havre de Grace High School will share a name when they visit for the first time Tuesday.
Only they won't be students. They'll be under the watchful eye of students and teachers.
Four youngsters will attend the first day care program at Havre de Grace after students and teachers put in hours of preparation turning one family and consumer sciences classroom into a part-time daycare facility.
Rebecca Orr's classroom includes cubby-like lockers for the four children and a corner with a matt and educational toys for the kids.
Patch stopped in the night before the children were to visit for their first day. See the photos of the cool, new facility with this post.

I am sure the "LITTLE WARRIORS" had a GREAT first day at the "BIG" school.Hats off to Ms.Orr and the HHS Admin for getting things ready for the first day.I am sure the older students enjoyed the little ones and using the teaching techniques taught to them in the classroom prior to the little ones arriving:)

I wonder if this is open to everyone? I went to HdG Elem., Middle, and High. and would love for my girls to have the same oppertunity to grow up in a friendly HDG environment.

How many other high schools have day care? What is the intent/purpose for having a day care at a high school?
