One person was hospitalized after a crash in Darlington Monday night, according to Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS spokesman Rich Gardiner.

The crash, which was reported at approximately 5:22 p.m. Monday, occurred on Trappe Church Road at Darlington Road.

The person in the vehicle was removed by rescue personnel and taken to a local hospital, Gardiner said.

The cause of the crash was not clear, and Maryland State Police told Patch that officials were still on the scene as of 7:20 p.m. Police said the road was open.
