Fire Marshal Looking into Conowingo Road Car Fire

A Cadillac caught fire Friday morning in Darlington.

 

Nobody was injured in an early morning car fire in Darlington Friday, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal, which is investigating the incident.

At 2:17 a.m. Friday, a passerby reported that a vehicle on the 4500 block of Conowingo Rd. was on fire, according to a statement from the fire marshal’s office.

John Steinhilber was the owner of the 1994 Cadillac DeVille, and his address in Darlington was reportedly where the fire occurred.

Five firefighters from Darlington Volunteer Fire Company responded to the car blaze, which was out within one minute, according to the report.

Investigators estimated there was $1,000 in damage. 

Where and how the fire started are under investigation, according to the report, which stated that the Harford County Sheriff's Office is assisting.
