APG's Large Loud Detonations Ongoing

The big booms from Aberdeen Proving Ground may continue between Dec. 17-21.

The loud booms that Harford County residents have heard over the past month may continue next week, according to Aberdeen Proving Ground's U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command.

Louder-than-normal detonations could be heard around the area between Dec. 17 and Dec. 21.

According to a statement from the Army Test and Evaluation Command, "These detonations are likely to generate sound and/or vibration outside the installation boundary. If weather conditions are not favorable in minimizing noise off the installation, firing will be rescheduled."

We've been experiencing loud booms that are shaking our home and rattling our windows. It seems much closer than it has been during the past couple months.
