Havre de Grace Crime: Refrigerator Raided at American Legion, Cash Register Stolen from Deli
The Havre de Grace Police Department provided the following information.
Erie St., 700 block. 5:45 a.m. on Oct. 22. The front window of a deli was found smashed and the cash register was missing. Police charged a 26-year-old man from N. Stokes Street with burglary and theft. “The arrest was made within two to three hours of the initial report,” Capt. Wayne Young Jr. said. Police also recovered the cash register, according to Young.
Saint John St., 500 block. 3 p.m. on Oct. 21. About $500 worth of food was stolen from a refrigerator at the American Legion. The suspect(s) broke into the pavilion Saturday night, according to the report, which was filed Sunday.
Congress Ave., 300 block. 11 a.m. on Oct. 21. A woman said her purse and wallet had been stolen from her vehicle at Tydings Park on Saturday, Oct. 20.
Franklin St., 500 block. Midnight on Oct. 21. Police responded to a reported fight and found instead that an intoxicated man had fallen down the steps.
Revolution St. at Route 7. 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 19. Graffiti was spraypainted on the bridge over the railroad tracks. Police had no suspects. The Department of Public works handled cleanup.
Battery Dr., 400 block. 10 a.m. on Oct. 19. A 20-year-old man was arrested in a domestic assault.
N. Adams St., 500 block. 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 18. Medication and car keys were reported stolen from a residence.
