Dear god I come to you in the name of jesus asking you to encamp your angels around the christy's please lord spread the blood of jesus over the precious baby. I was one of the first at the scene. I saw Shawn take his last breath. He passed peacefully. I talked to him and we gave him words of comfort as he went to the Lord. His son is so incredibly adorable and brave. We stayed on the side of the road and and talked about his toys and his DSI & i shielded him from his father as paramedics administered chest compressions. No child should have to see what I saw, especially when its their own parent. My condolences go out to the family. I wish there was more we could have done. Rest in Peace Shawn. Although I did not know you, I can tell you are loved.

Omg Jessica F. You are an angel. I don't know Shawn personally but my husband and many of my friends do...I can tell he was truly loved and will be deeply missed. My prayers are with everyone involved.

There was an off duty police officer who pulled his son from the car thru the window, an off duty emt and two nurses and I worked in the medical field for 7 years mainly in pediatrics as a medical assistant. We were all there at that moment for a reason. I was on my way home from The Greene Turtle. I can't even sleep because I close my eyes and see his face. It brings me to tears. God bless you all. If there is a viewing I would be honored to meet his family and say hello to little Shawn again. A hug is needed from that brave little boy. It took all I had not to break down. His strength kept me strong. If the family needs any information I hope I can help. I will share all information I know and what I saw. I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't say it enough. Tears just keep flowing.

I have known Shawn and his family forever. I amso saddened by this loss which extends far beyond his immediate family. He was a gentleman and an asset to the community. His love of bowling was only exceeded by his love of people. May God embrace his family and friends and allow them all to get beyond the pain and revel in the joy that he exuded and find comfort in times shared.

I'm still in shock that he is gone! I met shawn years ago while working at C&S! We dated briefly but remained friends. How could u not. He was so full of life no matter what the situation. No matter how bad of a mood u were in he could make u laugh n smile. He was an amazing guy to know and he will be greatly and dearly missed. He was a part of a lot of peoples lives! RIP shawn..... So sad to hear about this. Shawn and i were together for a year back in 2008. I loved him dearly. He always had a smile on his face. He always knew how to make you smile. He always wanted everyone to get along and would try and difuse any situation. When we were together we spent almost everyday together. He loved to go out and have a good time, and was a great bowler. we were there at least three nights a week. I met many friends through Shawn. He was friends with everybody.
He was a great father to Lil Shawn. I was fortunate enough to be around them for a little bit, and he absolutely adored his son. I hadnt seen Shawn for a couple of years but every once in a while we would text just to say hi and see how each other was.
My heart hurts for all of his family and close friends. Mrs Diane and Travis, i know we havent spoken since Shawn and i broke up but i want you to know that you all will have a place in my heart and my prayers are with you right now. Know that he is looking down on you all with that big smile of his. Lil Shawn may you grow up to know how good of a person your dad was and he is always watching over you.
Shawn may you watch over all your friends and see how loved you were. You will always have a place in my heart.

Thank God that Shawn car didn't kill the other people which were on their side of the road. What ever happen to his car or him may never be know. But Shawn son appears will be ok, but with a memior which should not happen to anyone. The folks which were able to get away from not dieing in the accident, once again thank God for they being saved!!

I didn't know Shawn but i have seen many posts on fb about him so i had to see what is going on and what happened. All i can say after reading every so glen one of these comments is Shawn is obviously very loved and I'm sure it is well deserved. As for his son i would hate to see any child have to go through that and deal with the pain of a parent no longer being with them. I'm usually a strong person but after reading this i couldn't help but cry. R.i.p Shawn and little Shawn and Brittany and everyone else involved are in my prayers.

Arrangements are complete for Shawn and are as follows: viewing Saturday May 26 from 10-12 at Word of Faith International  Outreach 1301 Loflin Rd. Aberdeen,MD followed by the funeral at 12noon. Internment will be held at St James United Cemetary  on Grace View Dr in Havre de Grace  

I just wanted to thank everyone again -our family appreciates all that was done & all the prayers that are being said. Still in shock my nephew is gone - please keep both his sons in your prayers as they now are without their Daddy. Smh so unbelievable

This is tragic. So sorry for the loss of such a young man. Thank G-d the Hockenberry's are ok. They are dear friends and must be so shaken from this whole experience. It's amazing how your whole life can change (and end) in a minute. :(
