2 Boaters Rescued From Susquehanna River

The Susquehanna Hose Company utilized its dive team boat to rescue the stranded boaters.

Two boaters were pulled from the Susquehanna River Monday after their boat overturned near Havre de Grace.

The Susquehanna Hose Company responded before 11 a.m. and rescued the boaters with the company's dive team boat, Chief Scott Hurst said.

The stranded boaters were wearing life jackets and were rescued unharmed.

Hurst said the boat picked up the individuals near Green Street after they had launched their vessel from Hutchins Park.

The Susquehanna Hose Company is helping host a boating safety course in August.
