1,600 Temporarily Without Power Monday Afternoon
Some Havre de Grace residents were without power Monday afternoon, BGE said.
About 1,600 Havre de Grace residents were without power Monday afternoon after the cross-arm on a pole broke.
BGE spokeswoman Rachael Lighty said all 1,600 customers were restored by 3:30 p.m. The issue arose around noon, she said.
"We had restored the majority of them by 12:50," she said. "They were able to isolate the issue."
Lighty didn't have an exact location of the pole.
Patch readers from Bayview Estates, Grace Harbor and in outlying neighborhoods beyond Interstate 95 reported outages via email and social media.
Anyone with an outage may report it to BGE at 877-778-2222.

We lost power here in Bayview Estates at about 1145, then came back on at 1245. It was out almost exactly an hour. To pass the time without power I read my book.

We were without power for about an hour and a half. It was very nice actually!
